goodness...I'd love an answer to this myself...

I have the same issue, the shop that installed the alarm simply said after 2 times taking it back that the factory alarm -can't- be disabled.

I hope this reply didn't get your hopes up...or did you get it figured out?

Oh, I am glad you worked it out on your end! It's frustrating the everloving *(&*# outta me.

I think if the explanation is simple enough I can figure it out myself without dealing with this shop again.

Well since the guys that installed our viper remote start could not disable the factory alarm, every time we started the car with the doors locked the viper alarm would go off, if we unlocked the car then started it and relocked it with the viper remote all was fine.

All my husband did was unplug the power from the factory alarm, see the pic below, remove the glove box and its on the RIGHT side on bolted to the body of the vehicle.

Does this look right to you? I think he knew what to look for based on your reply but the steering wheel area in my car is just the cruise control stuff. My husband takes the most blurry pics so apologies if you can't tell???

So you COMPLETELY removed the entire security system?

Is there anyway to keep it in and piggy back off of it?

no way if you do that you will have a lot and i mean aLOT!!!! of trouble
if you want your box to get crazy jajajajaj do it
no what happens is that went you actived youa after market alarm your factory alarm
will aslo trigger and so on your better off deciding if you want the factory one or
the after market one.(the after market is way better than the stock)

Ok so I will get rid of my stock key flob and everything all together?

Is there a wiring diagram here online that would tell me all the wires to tap into for example

1. Alternator/ Tach Sensing
2. Foot Brake Inpute
3. Door Trigger input
4. Door Trigger input (Negative)

etc

I need that kind of list
