Forty Scions. This is the number of Scions that Adrian is organizing to be on display in the December 13th Showoff Classic in Pomona CA. Adrian is THE definition of Scion fanatic and his peronal ride is the only evidence you'll need.
When he isn't planning Team Scion West meets or huddling with Scion corporate for special projects Adrian is a full-time as an account manager for a major computer peripheral manufacturer. We aren't quite sure if this means that he is a big shot at a Forbes-100 company or if he is really fine-tuning electric pencil sharpeners at a little hole-in-the-wall, but we're sure that he must be doing it well if he can afford to goof off as much as he does!
His Thundercloud xB was another of the first to hit the US and didn't stay stock for long. The suspension was the first to receive attention with a set of Spy springs anf a JIC Magic carbon-fiber upper stressbar. Axis came on-board as a sponsor and hoooked him up with a set of Axis Site Mesh 2 wheels.
Audio was tended by the Image Dynamic / SPFR box in carbon fiber, ARC Audio amp, Monster Cable wires, Dynamat, XM Radio and Accele Vision monitors. The DVD deck is by Pioneer.
Adrian is part of the Team Scion West / Image Dynamics Team that tours around Southern California shows to promote their products. To show off the interior he got the upholstery done in gray and black carbon fiber by E and J upholstery in Santa Fe Springs CA. Gotta have the matching leather steering wheel!
The exterior is rounded out with a Toyota Speed Option grille from Cabe Performance and some TRD dress up items. Carbon-fiber is a must these days. A full lip kit from bBist.com adds style while a hood from Red Geinie is on the way.
A new set of wheels were required so Adrian temporarily bolted on a set of 19x8 TC Evos before settling with a set of the Axis 7Mods with a 3.25" lip int he rear and a 2.5" lip in the front!
You might have seem Adrian's xB at SEMA in the Velox booth. His car was spotted by Super Street Magazine before the show and was requested to be in the show. The car is also featured in the upcoming January 2004 issue of Kiplingers Personal Finance Magazine.
Scion Life applauds Adrian's style and his resistance to add-ons that only make the car busier without improvement. Each mod has a purpose and follows the theme of the ride. Good job!
Suspension / Wheels:
• Spy 2" Drop Springs
• JIC Stressbar
• 19" Axis Wheels
