My name is Clay and my current project is the "HOT BOX". I currently work as a custom home audio/video installer in Tulsa, OK. I drive 45 miles each way to work, and with my other car being a hopped-up 97 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX, I needed a nice daily driver that I could just put in "D" and drive. The idea here was to keep working on my Eclipse and have a normal, everyday driver. That lasted all of a month.
I worked as a car audio installer for almost five years, and in the last few months at the place I got to do an install on the first Scion that visited our shop. At first I hated the way it looked. But after tearing it apart and seeing a few more around town, I joined ScionLife only to find myself in love with the xBs that had been modified!
While saving up some coin for the downpayment I stopped into Jim Norton Toyota in Tulsa, OK and talked to Shawn. I drove the xB and was instantly hooked. Sleek, slow & stylish... thats what I was looking for! So I saved up some cash, headed to the dealer and a TCM rolled off the trailer ten minutes after I got there. It had one mile on it, and I drove it home!
I met other Scion owners through ScionLife and soon our club was formed. I am the VP of Scikotics.com and look forward to expanding the club further into the nation. We started the club in Tulsa, OK, and currently have chapters in Oklahoma City, Arkansas, and the newest one that's just getting off its feet in Houston, TX.
My future mods for the HOT BOX include: Katzkin leather, turbo kit, more monitors, more neon, and fiberglassed headliner with neon to show off the amp rack.
I would like to thank all of the members of Scikotics that helped me install the air ride suspension DAYS before Texas Heat Wave. i would also like to thanks Jim Norton Toyota for all the help & support you have offered our club!
