Default Finally did some mods to my car...after a year! lol

I got rims and low profile tires...plus a new stereo (not pictured)

I want HID headlights and new tail lights. If I buy them online, would a scion dealer install them or do I need to take it elsewhere?

i would never know how to do it myself, lol. i would be scared to break it. if u change the headlights and stuff, does that void the warranty for the car for some reason?

Lookin good!!! Don't pay someone to install those things, do it yourself and save the money for more mods.

This thread shows how easy it is to replace the tail lights:

The HID are a breeze to connect as well(make sure you get the wiring harness though). Ask Zack at www.365motorwerks.com about some of his hid kits, great guy to work with.

Lookin' GOOD!!!
Don't worry about your warranty when it comes to adding options. That is what these cars are for, right?!? LOL
The dealer will not void the entire warranty just because of some addons. If there was to be an issue and the dealer could prove that the addon caused the issue, then they would just choose not to complete that service under warranty and you would have to pay for it. No biggy. I've done quite a bit to mine and have not had a single issue.
Don't pay a dealer to install your new goodies. Half the time, they don't know what they are doing anyhow. Show the box you love her and do the installs yourself.

New wheels look great! If you need some help installing stuff there is a chapter of Scikotics in NJ that I am sure would help you. If you want to get in touch with them just go to our website. www.scikotics.com

I love picture #3 from an artistic point of view.. the solar yellow makes the box seem like it's a bug in the environment.

thanks everyone! i'll look into that.

what are some rather inexpensive headlights and tail lights you recommend that are easy to install? and by easy, what does it mean...just plug it in? i didnt get around to reading the tutorials yet but i will! i promise.

i just got some led taillights on my xb. Installed them tonight and they look awesome. I got them here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...7147190&rd=1,1

There is a GREAT writeup from 1epoXyBox here: https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...732&highlight= detailling a complete step by step guide to installing the led taillights. I had this page printed out working on it in my garage.

for headlights, i got myself some silverstars as a cheap alternative to HIDs..

good luck to you!
