after waiting for months for a deal on an OEM BSP grill to pop up on sale here or ebay, i finally just said screw it and painted mine. came out good and looks exactly as i hoped for. the PWs should have come with a black grill from the factory since the 2 in the bumper are black. looked terribly out of place with one white grill and 2 black grills. Now just waiting for my bB emblem to arrive.


then i also went ahead and debadged the rear emblems to make the back end much more clean. i thought about removing the wiper as well, but im not too sure about the wiper plug off to the right hand side that people are doing. i like the symmetry that the wiper adds to the rear and without the emblems, it doesn't look so bulky anymore. i just unplugged it so that it cannot function.


im gonna find a new function for those switches. thanks to all the other fellow PWs with black grills for the inspiration. now i understand why :-)

 

yup, debadging the xb makes it look a lot cleaner. Plus, the BSP grill looks good. I just ended up spraying my emblem black to match my grill, but it looks like you are getting a bB front emblem.

All xBs should have come with BSP grills. :
Def goes better with your overall theme. I'd stick with bB emblems front and rear but that's just me.

Looks good! I too have been trying to find a BSP grill, no luck. What paint did you use?

 

I did one of my "black" grills in a textured black. Gave it a cool effect and matched the lowers nicely. The other one I left BSP and added 2 chrome strips down the middle lined up with the bB emblem.

Thats sick...I got a BSP grille on my RS2 and I love the look...now I just got to get a bB logo...and I also shaved the xB logo, and took off the wiper, I didnt plug it I just put a red dice over the little screw and am thinking about doing the Scion one.

Damn! I emailed that guy about that one, even offered him 50.00 if he'd hold it a couple days till i could get down there! Congrats on getting it.

 

just a lil' info... i was going to do this with my stock white one, but if you want it, give it a shot. there's an 06 PW down in olympia (on craigslist right now), might try calling them and offering to trade your grill with the black one that's on their xb.
