Has anyone tried installing a Fire Extinguisher in the front pillar of an xB. I've seen this mod done on other cars but they had "OH SH**" handle bars to place the extinguisher.

 

If your car is in danger of catching fire, you've got bigger problems.

 

/\/\ Always nice just in case, or if a fellow motorist needs help. Mount it under the passenger seat

I try to keep things like that readily accessible but out of the way.



Mine is not a 'fashion statement' but a practical accessory - I've used six of those over the years to save cars from small fires.

Luckily they were all other's cars, and except for one, having an extinguisher available quickly did save the cars (the other one just delayed the inevitible long enough for us to cut the seatbelt and get the driver out).

that is a good idea. i dont see why it needs to be on the pillar anyways. dont you get a first aid kit when you get an xb? i know it doesnt come with an extinguisher but that would be cool if it did
