First Gen boxes getting more popular!
 

So I was at a local hay ride in my area. Bear in mind I live in a farm town in the middle of no where. Slowly more and more xb's have began to show up in my area and when at the hayride my point was proven. Just thought you all might get a kick out of this. None of this was planned and I have never seen any of these people before this.

Great pic! TCMs are everywhere around here too.

They still haven't caught on in my little town. Everyone drives a Chevy cause it's the only dealer in town. People around here are lazy mofos. They always ask about the box but when I told them they had to go to Jackson or Nashville to get one they lost interest. We have like 3 in the whole county. I love being unique!!!

The boxes are multiplying . . . maybe it was a glitch in the Matrix haha

I have noticed that they are getting more popular again. Also Kelly Blue Book Values went up :) good news for current owners

Didn't the production numbers show TCM and PW running neck and neck as the most common colors?
If I had known about the crappy paint issues I would have gotten the TCM myself. :doh:

BSP,BOP, and PW there were about 25,000 of each. The TCM had about 44,000 made.

:doh: My bad! In my area, I only see PW and TCMs out the butt. :rofl:

I was about 45 mins away from the OP's location, out at RIT in Rochester....last winter...and came up on two other boxes randomly there. (one RS 3 and one BSP, along with my TCM)

Both are bone stock though

and probably driven by old people, scions failed target audience.

I don't know about that snowromance, it's a college garage with mostly resident cars...

I'm just happy to see they are getting more popular. Its kind of neat for me because in the village I live in there was mine, the one my mother bought and one other blue box but that was it. Now there is a total of 7 in an area of about 2 square miles that people have bought after seeing them around town.

I believe they do the bunny thing up here + I pass 2/3 Going to, from work every day

yea, there are three xbs on my street, 1 is modded, the other 2 are not. and its funnny cuz one of the guys that has one, his other car is a nice as porche 911 turbo.

Nobody laugh, help me out here. I'm new with my xB and I always see different types? I mean I knew about the burnt penny one being different, but BSP,BOP, PW,TCM, RS 3, and more I probably didn't mention?
What are all of these, what does that mean? also, some say their boxes are year 2006.5... is that just if it was made after june 2006 or?

mine is technically 2006.5. i think it was a different interior fabric color and the addition of steering wheel controls. could be wrong though.

BSP, PW, TCM... all those are short for the color. like PW is Polar White.

They phased in a carbon trap, if you will, in the air box and ecu wiring changes after the '05s. I have an 05 so I really don't know what has changed other than those two things.

Ahh thanks snow, duhh that does make sense. hmm.. I wonder what mine is, I just know it was made in aug 06. and it does have the radio controls on the wheel
