I believe the ones made after July 1, 06 till end of production will qualify as 06.5s

If that's the case you need to do some mods to set yours apart from the other stock boxes.

if you have wheel radio controls its a 06.5
and the seats changed because of the Vits in japan received an update to the new style
(03 - 04 same
05 - 06 early = different engine wiring + slight changes to dash
06.5 = different seats + radio controls on steering wheel)

if wrong please correct

Default Yo

We have 2 gen 1's, an '05 and an '06 + my business partner bought a new '09 recently. They are all good
I'm a gen 1 fan but I gotta say after driving the gen 2 a lot, it's a sweet machine too.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy one if mine ever got totaled. Especially since I found a dealer I like who will discount a bit

LOL, that's awesome. I see a few more lately, but no one seems to care that they have a box. I still get the "WTF" face if I honk or wave.

That's a shame. I still get a nice smile or wave back from Scions in my area. Guess they are still rare in thses parts.

There's lots of gen 1's around here, few peeps wave, honk or flash though.
