Default Fog Lights

Just wondering if it is worth the $ to get the fog lights? Being so high of the ground, are they really of much use?

I don't like their position.........looks wise or functionally. I think they would look and work better in the lower grill area.

I like the look of where they sit, just the Stock Toyota ones are crappy with no reflective finish inside.

I just need to get some bright blue bulbs to match my headlights

uhhh.... we didn't forget the JDM housings ARE reflective chrome did we??? They're only like $200 - which IS cheap for plug-n-play lights that are make/model specific.

I finally tested out my stock foglights on a pitch black road.
(keep in mind I have silverstars and they are re-wired to turn on without the headlights)

And I must say they are damn bright! I could easily drive with just the fogs on!
(I don't recommend it though )

I definitely support the factory fogs as a valuable upgrade... Just buy and install them yourself. It's easy, and they are pre-wired!

Got mine $160 shipped...

Where did you get yours? The cheapest I found was $204 before shipping from McGeorgeparts.com.

I'm still debating if I should get them. I wonder if Toyota will redesign the fog lights for 2006 :?

I'm happy with mine too.I did pay the huge price for them at the dealer coulda, shoulda done it myself. Most of the roads I travel are Interstate which do not have lighting, and the fog lights point out the roadkill and deer better verses just the headlights.I really don't consider them "true" foglights, mounted to high I think, but really the more light you have in a dark area, the better off you are.......well unless your parked somewhere trying to mack on your girlfriend

I know it sounds supid, but I like the way the car looks with the fog lights on. They only extend light to the outer most corner of your vision. I always drive with them on, (after 4:00p.m.) I am glad I got them.
