Perhaps they felt the market needed a replacement xB since Scion is not making a similar car any more?

 

To be honest, I like the Hornet. The interior is really cool, and the engine is pretty nice if you look up the specs.

they realised there's room for a xB succesor now that scion isn't making one. good for them.

I wish automakers would get smart like they did with the xB and start bringing more boxes to the US.

If something happens to my box, you won't see me caught dead in the new xB. I'd ****** up the Wagon R or that thing in a second if it ever were available or came down to me having to buy something else.

What I don't understand is why they radically changed the Xb and why the Xd exists in the first place. I mean the 08 Xd looks a lot like the Xa, why not just make it the 08 Xa. They should have made the new Xb the Xd and left the Xb alone. The Xb is pretty much the flagship of Scion. When people think of Scion they think of the box. Now there is no real distinction between the Xb and other cars like the Chevy HHR. Sure the beefier engine in the 08 Xb is nice, but the aesthetic design is all wrong. Like they say “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

 

dodge has always been great at making nice looking concepts, too bad they don't hardly ever get into production.
