Default Going to make tint darker

I'm going to make all the windows 5% all the way around including the drivers/passenger side. They also need to add the felt on the windows that roll up/down so the tint doesn't scratch. They are going to charge me $220 for everything. Normally they would have charged me $260 but i'm a good customer and i pay cash. I have the Black Sand Pearl color.

Ok.. and the question is? Or are you just making a statement?

I know the T.O., Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, San Luis markets WELL, very well - and $220 is HIGH in the area, real high. $260 is just nuts. 5 cars a day and they'd be NETTING over a $1000 a day after all expenses. 5 cars a day is a "draggin' your feet I don't feel like working today" kinda pace.

About the felt - on a Scion - it is entirely 150% unneccesary. That process is meant for cars with very tight plastic seals such as on some Mercedes. Felting a Scion if anything will actually INCREASE the chances of scratching the tint as it will make the seal tighter and any trapped dust you get there from all the farm fields will be forced against the glass even harder (and therefore scratch it). The seals in a Scion are not tight at all. I know the "felt the seals" upselling trick all to well, seriously - I'm doing you a favor, don't buy it. If you just must absolutely have it, you can go buy a roll of 1/2" wide "moleskin" from a crafts store and hot glue it on yourself for a few dollars - that, in a bucket - is what "felting the seals" is.

For the $220 he'd better be taking the rear door 1/4's out of the car so he's not cutting that rubber trim up.

I'm not getting it done at the dealertship. There is a place around the corner that will do it. It's a small hole in the wall. But, 95% of their bussiness is from the Auto Mall down the street. I have been going to them for years and i have had zero problems with them.

then that's the place to go - if price is fine by you - and you know you'll get A+ work. Shop no further. (seriously)
