Green Envy with it's shine on (PICS)
So having the first weekend with the xB I've put a coat of Maquire's #26 wax on and a coat of Zaino Z2 polish followed by a quick spray of Zaino Z8 to really pop the shine.
Gotta love Zaino!
Enjoy...

YourName, I asked them about that at the dealer...by the time it gets to the dealer it's ok. It arrived in port on the 10th and was painted shortly before that so it should be fine. Should have been finished painting a month or so ago.
Anyways, many people say that factory paint can be waxed right away...it's when you get a custom job that might not be cured at as high a temp. that you have to be more cautious.
Here' what a Meguire's site says about it:
How soon can I wax a new car?
A new car that has a factory paint job can be waxed the moment it is rolled out of the plant. Cars that have factory paint jobs are cured at much higher temperatures, because the car goes through the paint booth without the rubber, plastic, and cloth components. This means the paint is cured by the time the car is completed. After-market paint finishes, however, are cured at a much lower temperature to ensure the booth doesn't melt non-metal components. In this case, allow for a 2-3 month curing process before your first wax application.

Nicely done!
I'm not a big box fan, but that greeny sure looks good.
Congrat's. I remember being younger and detailing my cars every weekend - I wish I had that kind of energy to keep the ride that shiny.
And yes, you can wax your heart out on any new car these days - they bake 'em, and by the time they get here, they've had more time to cure.

Looks Great!!!
Spent the weekend doing the same! (I prefer Zymol, but hey...)
Good advice for my fellow RS 3.0 owners out there- Get a lint roller from the dollar store- it cleans up the alnost black interior for quick detailing. I hate to admit it, but there is probably more fuzz in my belly-button than on our floormats!

It looks like it's going to rain the next few days here, so that will give me a good reason to keep driving the xB for a little while.

It's a week old and no mods??? Most people have the mods waiting for the toaster. Then have them installed in about a week. Looks good but wait on posting pics till it's modded please. LOL

uuuuh, please forgive jethro here - there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with posting an xB here with or without mods. Although I have a feeling we'll soon be seeing this ride with a nice sub and some black rims with polished lip, ScionLife is not explicitly about the mods, it's about the cars.
In fact, one of the moderators here, with thousands of posts, drives a nearly stock xB himself! I say welcome shockwave, and your car looks GREAT. one of the cleanest i've seen. newest, i gotta give you that, but cleanest nonetheless!

Quiet, believe it or not, the Vette actually gets 21.5 miles per gallon. It's a hell of an efficient high performance engine. But ya, it's nice to have something that gets more around 30 and doesn't use the premium fuel on top of that.
And yes, I realize everyone wants to see the mods, but hell I like the look of a clean, polished car as well as one with loads of mods.
I post a lot in Corvetteforum.com and we love to post pics after a fresh wash, polish, or wax. So I guess I'm carryin that over here.
Anyways, my next pics will be when the new rims arrive. I'm not sure if I'm going to do the sub thing because my wife doesn't really seem to care much about that as she is happy with the stock system that plays her iPod. Couple that with the fact that the JL Stealthbox I want for my Vette is gonna run me around $1000, I'll probably end up putting a sub in that first, and she will just get a set of rims for now.
Still considering the Gold-Lines as well, but she's starting to get on me about spending $$ when one reason we got this instead of her Mazda was to curb spending hahaha...
Thanks for the comments!
