grinding noise
Anyone have this happen?
When I first get in my car after it's been sitting for a while (like in the morning), and I need to slow down to turn, go over a speed bump, or whatever, I hear a grinding noise coming from the brakes. I'd say after the 3rd time I stop or slow down the grinding noise goes away.
Any clue what this is? My ABS light isn't coming on and the noise goes away so I'm stumped.

sitting for how long? just overnight? generally that shouldn't happen, but if a car has been sitting for several days or longer usually the thin layer of rust that has built up on the rotors will have to wear off, suppose it could make that noise. do you have factory pads and rotors?
