Gross weight vs curb weight?

Gross weight vs curb weight?

I was looking up the xA on Edmunds, and they said the 'curb weight' of the car is 2380 pounds, which I knew, but that the 'gross weight' is 3345 pounds. What's the difference exactly?

Gross weight is the maximum weight of the vehicle with gas, luggage and passengers combined. DO NOT exceed this weight.
