Default Guage pod for xB

Can someone point me in the right direction and reccomend a good quality nice fit guage pod for the xB A-pillar? I was wanting to put in temp and oil guages but am reluctant to buy off of eBay because I want it to fit properly. Please post any reccomendations for these. Thanks.

Doesn't the Autometer one fit good?

There is also the ePod also, but I don't like having the gauges to be viewed inside the steering wheel. The cover replaces the upper steering wheel column cover.

I didn't know about the autometer one. I would trust them though. I didn't know they made one. Thats why I posted on here. Thanks for the info. As far as inside the steering wheel, I would put one there and have seen those before, but I mount my GPS there sometimes and would rather not put guages there. Any others out there? I will check on the autometer though. Thanks Squirrel.

No problem, you're welcome.

IIRC, Autometer makes them in 1, 2, 3, or 4 gauge pillar pods.

There's always drilling into the dash just to the right of the speedo. I've seen a few folks do that. Looks nice and clean, plus you don't have to worry about hiding and running wires.

Cool. Thats good to know. I am deffinitely going to get a 2 guage, but maybe a 3. I know I want water temp and oil pressure...my stereo has a volt meter so I don't need that really. Any ideas for the third or maybe fourth? What do you have in yours?

All for are for air pressure in my bag setup. I also painted it gray to match the interior better. When I took this picture it was just being test fit, so it's more flush now.

An ePod set-up would look nice too. :D

Nice Mike!

Slipknot, here's another to consider. You can see the gauges on the a-pillar thru your peripheral vision and still be able to watch the road ahead of you. With the ePod, you have to look down, taking away your forward vision of the road. Oil temp is another consideration of running besides pressure.

I found a 3 pod Autometer on eBay for 60. And a few 3 pods with guages for 110.
Oil temp, huh? Why do you say this? I am not knocking you, just curious as to the benefits of a water temp AND oil temp? Any input is GREATLY appreciated.
Like I stated before, I like the ePod but I sometimes mount my GPS there, so thats out.

Thats too bad, the ePod replaces the top cover with no modification needed.

The problem I am seeing is this. I like the pillar mount type. I think t is a clean and tidy (and easy) install. But all I can find are black ones. Maybe if I lok around a little more, I can find one to match my interior....Or build my own, huh?

Yes, Stylis, I do like the ePod...But my GPS is the PERFECT size for the space you can see through the wheel LOL. Let me look around a bit and I may end up with those after all is said and done.

Oil temp and oil pressure will change dramatically before water temp will should anything happen to the engine.

And IIRC, the pod can be painted or covered in fabric.

That's just my opinion based on what I have experienced and have done. Some base their experience on what products they need to sell.
