Default Guys it finally happened

last week i got a speeding ticket. I was goin down rebseman road. I have always gone down that way to go fishing as a lil kid and i thought the speed limit was 40 but i was doin 52. Come to find out the actual speed limit was 35. So u konw it was ova for that one. but good news since that was my first time i only have to pay 180 and it wont be sent to my insurance. i guess my heavy foot finally got me in trouble.

It wont be sent to your insurance company if you go to traffic school to remove the point from your record, but if you dont then the point gets added on to your record & the dmv reports to your insurance company. Which will possible increase your premium for the year. *i use to get a couple tickets every year*, learned my lesson now.

What state are you in? I know here in CA we need to pay AND go to traffic school for it not to be sent to the insurance company.

Go to court and see if the cop shows up.

If no, plead not guilty.

If yes, plead guilty and ask for traffic school.

By the title of the topic I thought you had been la|d for the 1st time.

Cool, traffic school on-line in IL. Thats good cause I'm due. No tickets in about nine years. I'm not being good, just smarter about when and where I speed.

^ i wouldnt agree w/the go to court part; though it depends on the city's police...if they have nothing do; cops will sho up. otherwise theyre too busy. though i agree w/the title part, i smirked when i read it.. glad to know that you get "laid often"....i guess

I wasn't aware that tickets were "sent" to the insurance companies... they have to pay for that information... I know with State Farm the first thing they do when you file a claim is to check you record. So if you have 5 tickets (not DWI), they wouldn't know until you filed a claim.

NOTE: this is not for 100% of State Farm drivers, this is for the lower risk group...

If you can, do Traffic School online it only takes a few hours.

Back in 1983 I had to sit in a boring class room all day. The worst part, my buddy and I almost got caught speeding going there!
