If so, I REALLY want to see what it looks like!

I think the xB would make for a good Beach Cruiser!

highly doubt it. aside from being illegal, it would be a total pain in the butt. these doors are not like doors on a jeep.

if you did it jeep style, you are going to lose the ability to roll your windows down, and lock/unlock doors.. i like the idea of a beach cruiser, but not with front wheel drive, idealy id rather have AWD or 4WD.. then i would consider the door thing.

*watching*

I think it would not work out so well. because of all the wireing and the sheer size of our doors.

No I mean to take the doors totally OFF. i thought thats what Jeeps did, but maybe I'm wrong.

Is it really illegal? can't be anymore unsafe than a motorcyle.

im pretty sure that is is legal to do..the only laws that i know of that a car has to have is seat belts, headlights, brake lights ,turn signals and a glass windsheild you can drive with no doors and no hood if ya really wanted to..

Glass windshield is not required as long as you have goggles or face protection on. Hood is required and you can take the doors off as long as you have at least one mirror other than the rear view mirror.

The real question is WHY Would You Want to???

You would see everything the doors hide and that would not look good. A Jeep Wrangler or CJ is designed for this and looks good doing it.
Do a Google search on image door-less Cherokee or Cherokee trail rig. You will get an idea how bad this idea is when the car is not meant for it.

It's entirely legal to not have doors. If not, Jeeps wouldn't have removable doors (and a folding windshield, too).

Whether or not it's a good idea is open to debate, of course. I vote no.

As for the targa roof idea-- if someone can engineer some chassis bracing, I say go for it-- that would be a lot of fun to have.
