Default Headliner Question .....

I will have a picture posted after work tomorrow - What do you think of a Black Twill Headliner, it is really close to matching our seats. The pillars would remain that light gray color as well as those hold on straps and sun visors ?

Any input would be appreciated, I seen a BB that had that color and it really looked different but unique,...

A scion had that color, someone wrote a tech article on how to do it. It worked really well. If and when I deaden my roof, i'll be doing this.

I personally really like the color of the headliner and door sills. I like how everything above the level of the dash is one uniform color. Good contrast, clean look.

A few weeks ago I had a sunroof installed and the installer really screwed up and cut the headliner, he used some other gray fabric and it did not match and looked horrible.

I found a local shop that does headliners and the guy told me to go with this black tweed which is very close to the color and material style of our seats. I told him okay, let's do it ....

Got it back from the shop last night, he did an amazing job and it is back to being one smooth piece ........ The black seems to be a little darker that the seats and the weave is close, but the headliner material is different, it still has the pillars and sun visors the same light gray color, to me it just looks different, but sharp.

I WILL HAVE SOME PICTURES TONIGHT .......

twill. TWILL is a weave pattern e.g. almost all cosmetic carbon fiber parts are made with a 2x2 TWILL pattern cloth.

That must have been an expensive bill for the sunroof installer to cover.

House Of Steel, where did you have your headliner installed? I saw your xB at the York TunerWar show. Looks good.
