Default HELP! Research for homework, comments will be appreciated.

Hello Everybody,

I'm doing research for a homework assignment and would really appreciate some feedback. I'm looking for Scion xb owners. I would like to know what it is that you love about this car? How you feel about the boxy design? And if you had to pick one word to describe it, what would it be?

Thanks!

What do I love about the car?
First thing that caught my eye was the unique styling. Always been a fan of the bB, so when I saw my first xB in the states in 2004 I fell in love and HAD to buy one (I'm now on my second xB). Also love the massive interior space and relatively good gas mileage.

How do I feel about the boxy styling?
It is the main reason I like the car. If this car were built back in the late 70's and early 80's, it probably would have been dismissed as just another car. Now in the modern day of windtunnel designed vehicles, the brick wall aerodynamics of this vehicle really stand out. It also seems to be a "love it or hate it" type of style. You'll never meet someone who will say "eh...the styling is okay"...most people will stare at it in awe or in complete disgust.

One word to describe the xB: odd

The xB decision (to buy) was one of the few things my wife and I agreed on in our 46 years of marriage. We both said upon seeing our first one on the road "its so ugly, its cute" and we did a thorough study on them including interviewing as many owners of the xB as we could, before going down and ordering ours.

We thoroughly enjoy the roominess in it as well as the fuel mileage we enjoy. We put our 9 gallons in it religiously every month.

We plan on taking it on an extended trip this summer and really feel comfortable in it. Not the fastest car in the race, but my racing days are long gone.

Good luck on your school assignment.

the reason why i bought it
was to be different. though there's
plenty of xB's owners now...back in 2004
i wanted to get away from the rest.

can't beat the miles per gallon
and the underestimated interior space.

1 word: unique.

good luck. old classmates
and teachers thought my xB
report was...interesting.

What do I love about the car?
- It's an optical illusion - it's small on the outside, big on the inside. It handles well for an "economy" car. It turns heads no matter where I go (the yellow paint helps a little). It gets decent gas mileage. It's a Toyota product. It costs less than most other vehicles out there but looks WAY more expensive!

How do I feel about the boxy design?
- It's an optical illusion - it's small on the outside, big on the inside. (Did I say that already?) I love the boxy design! This little car can hold a full-size washing machine, people! Hello!?

One word to describe it - supercallifragalisticexpialidocious!

a) I love its personality: clever, practical, and reliable yet whimsical and distinctive.

b) The box is the outward expression of its inner essence.

c) Essential (ie, essence of carness)

Quirky.

Not much to add to everything that has been said above, and have only had mine for a week, but quirky is just about the perfect way to describe the xB to me.

what caused me to buy the xb was its practicality and unique design. all that space in a small car was perfect for a person like me that needs to move alot of stuff and at the price it cant get any better.

1. truely i think what everyone loves is the unique-ness of it. how many other boxes are on the road? only 1 other! people and there mazda 3 and there f-150 just blend with traffic, on the other hand we (as in xb owners and bb) stick out with orignality.

2. the only reason it sells like it does is because of its boxy design! the xA gets better milage and is less, but is not nearly as unique as a cubular (is that a word?) car. sorry xA owners.

3. cubular (if it is a word).

It's ugly with a bad over-bite...

It's form following function... Lots of useful room in a small space..

It's unique and simple... but still homely.

It's fun to drive, gets great mpg's, has lots of interior room, and my kids love it too. My family has realy emjoyed being a XB owner and all the activities that go with it. There are so many after market parts available that you can easily customize it yourself and still be original. Lots of fun!
