I got my XB alittle over a year ago. Love it! It does have alittle more space then most ppl realize. I think they really get alot of attention too! You can't just buy it all standard. Get some up-grades or plan on doing some up grades your self.

I went from an s-10 to a tC, but I stopped along at the xA and the xB first. I like them both. The xB has a lot of room, to me, it feels like more room than my S-10 (still have it).

I'll move this to the xB Lounge so you could get more feedback as you requested.

By the way, I love your screen name.

Wow where to begin? I got my Xb just over 2yrs ago. Since then alot has happened to me and the car. My Dad saw it at the Detroit auto show. He called and told about this new car company and how the car was so ugly it was cute. I saw them at the Philadelphia auto show. Right after I saw it I knew it was for me. I ride bike's alot and it provided the room I need but was stylish and economical. I have had some fun cars Mercedez Benz 190 2.3 16v, Volvo 850R, VW Corrado, VW GTI, and when I told my Dad I was buying one he laughed. So I searched and searched Texas for them, only to find out they were not availible yet. I flew home and we found the one I wanted In Delaware. Well My parents live in P.a. and I had to drive home from the dealer in snow. I then drove home to Texas in a snow storm. Then rain, then sunshine almost 2000miles. I got it home and said I would leave it as is, I already had the rear wing, the CAI and, the Fog light's. Well 2yrs later and alot of knowledge and some wise investing I am still not done. I say that because I may do more but not right now. This thing is the best car I have ever owned. I have done alot of mods( my bio for the list) and I have learned ton's right here. This is a good web forum with good people and advice. I have also convinced my girlfriend to buy a Scion Tc RS 1.0 that is amazing. She love's it and love's the box too. Sorry just want to share my boreing story.

THE most practical fun car I've ever owned. It's small on the outside and roomy on the inside and economical to operate and drives well in all conditions and . . . .

The only drawback I can see is once you start modding it you might not be able to stop (until you run out of money ;^)

I test drove an xB last summer, then studied and watched them until ordering one in February. I kept my old Mazda B2600i - can't do without a truck which the xB is not. After 1500 miles in my xB it is everything and more than I expected. It was cheap, yet everything feels quality. It only has 108 hp, but the engine sings, the gearbox is like butter, and the car flies along. It carries four with as much room as our Buick, but handles like a go-cart. Depending on how you drive it, it is hard to get less than 30 mpg, and I have gotten 40 mpg. It's 13-foot length parks anywhere and tucks into a garage with room for a motorcycle in front. Its appearance has a clean and functional beauty which I don't feel about the Element. Dealers are selling used ones at new prices, so they hold their value. It is possible that the xB in this form will not be made next year, and that the next xB or its replacement will be larger, different looking, more powerful and more expensive. This model xB may become a classic - get one before they are gone.

I got my car 10 days ago and I love it. I've put a lot of miles on it already and when I drive conservatively, I got 41.5MPG... a lot better than what I was expecting. (this was with 2 people in the car that whole time) If you need to haul anything, the back seats fold down for lots of room.

Default I came from a 32K sport sedan

I used to drive an 03 Maxima SE with everything, and I do mean everything. Did I give up some things to get the Scion? Yes. But I bought a house, and my wife and I are expecting our first kid. At this price point, there is precious little competition. Are you going to outrun a Porsche? Not likely. But at 2400 lbs., I can tell you the acceleration is steady and it is very comfortable to drive on the highway. This is my first 4-cylinder car and if gas prices stay the way that they are, there will be more to follow. Any deficiencies in the car's ride, equipment, or perceived lack of power are addressed in excrutiating detail in these forums.

I would suggest you go and test drive it. You won't regret it, and it will probably change the way you think of compact vehicles. Outside of the US, they actually put a lot of effort into this class of vehicles.

I picked up my Polar White xB less than a week ago, but I've been contemplating buying one ever since they came out almost 3 years ago. After owning a 96 Honda Civic Hatchback for almost 8 years, I wanted something newer that was a little roomier and had more standard features. I also didn't want to pay $300 or more a month on a car payment. The design of the xB caught my eye. The price caught my wallet. The way it dirves and handles caught my heart.

It's a fun, unique-looking car that packs a lot of standard features into an affordable package that gets great mileage and is a lot of fun to drive. It's also fun to see heads turn as you drive down the street (even in a stock xB), I can only imagine how it must be if you've customized it a bit.

The car looks great in nearly every color available and although I got my first choice of Polar White, I would have been just as happy getting one in at least 3 or 4 of the othe available colors. My only complaint is that would have liked to have had the option of getting the RS3.0 without all the LCDs at a lower price or at least if Envy Green or Lava Orange were available as a non-RS package color.

The only issues I have with the xB are due to it being a much different car that I am used to driving. I'm used compact cars that are lower to ground and have a much smaller interior, the xB is more like a mini Van which I've never really driven for extended times. The height of the seats is a lot higher than I'm used to and I'm still trying to figure out a comfortable sitting position(I might have to order an armrest). The HU controls(iPod controls especially) seem a little too far from the driver and I have to lean a bit to navigate the iPod's tracks. I'm used to using the iPod itself, which is a real pain in the a$$ and very dangerous, so the HU's controls are a much better option. Lastly, the engine seems a little noisy to me, especially when driving the thruway at speeds of 60 or higher.

These are thing I'm simply not used to and I'm sure once I've gotten used the car, I won't even notice them.

Good luck on your purchase.

This was another reason I bought the xB. At 63 and 6"-2", if an old back operation acts up, I have a hard time stooping and curling to get into even large cars. The raked A pillars and low roof height are problems. The xB's vertical A pillar, high roof and butt-level seat are like my Mazda truck, which makes it easy to just walk over and sit down without ducking.

I've had mine for about 9 months now and love it more every day. No regrets on buying one at all. I would do it all over again in a heart beat!

You're asking the "choir" here! Take all these comments to heart because they are all real. What's not to like?

It's just a great all-around package that is hard to beat at this price. Put a nice sport exhaust on the box and let it rip! No regrets.

Well, I guess I should start by saying that this is my box story. I'm in the military and I've been through 2 other cars in my few years in driving. My first was a 93 Pontiac Grand Am which I loved dearly until it started nickel and dimeing me. Then I bought a 02 Monte Carlo SS LE. It was a beautiful car with all the power that a person ever needs. I still love it but some butthole decided to smash into it and total it while it was parked. I told myself that my next vehicle wouldn't be a car. I started to look around and never really knew anything about the whole Scion line of vehicles. I looked directly at the xB and never thought about it again. Instant love!!! I called my mom and had her contact a dealer and have it ordered with everything on it. 19" TRD wheels, lowering kit, all of the performance upgrades, cold cathode kit, I mean just about everything that comes as an option.(Of course that was before I saw that I could have done half of that stuff myself and that was before I found Scion Life) It's probably one of the best things I could have ever spent my money on. I got everything from the billet grill and euro style tailights, to leather interior. It's great and I love my box to death. Trust us all when we say that you'll love it and you'll never be done with it. I put 4 twelves in the back and I'm about to up grade that to 8 tens built into a wall. Trust me, modding is never done with these things. Well, enough rambling and good luck with your decision and purchase. Peace.......
