Default How to fix a small rock chip in windshield

Is there any way to fix a small rock chip in my windshield without replacing the entire windshield? It hasn't reacked any of the sides yet, and is only about a centimeter wide.

go to a windshield place, or Novus. there's alot of places that fix dings, and even waive your deductable. most malls around here have someone set up in the parking lot doing it.

I call my insurance company. They have fixed a number of chips & dings for free. They send a windshield technician over and he performs the vaccum/epoxy repair in the driveway. I think it saves them a few hundred dollars, even with a deductible.

USAA. You might ask yours.

The repair kits are available at auto parts stores and they aren't too hard to use.

Cheers,

Get it to a glass place ASAP. The sooner it gets repaired the better. Forget those DIY repair kits, it requires a vaccum to fix it right. Leave it to a pro.
