When i pulled my stock grill off, i saw in yellow wax pen "068" and "12/19" i bought my box back in February 2007, they had to search the south and finally found a dealership in Lake Charles, LA that had a PW box and shipped it in.

Since my box is a 2006.5 and aparantly it was painted December 19th, that means i have one of the last xB's ever made.

Did production last until Dec. 31st or does anyone really know when the last xB rolled off the assembly line.

You Want Low Production Numbers, check out the Buick Reatta and Reatta Convertibles.

Dammit, I want another one. Keep stock-ish. I long for another BSP or a SRP.

Can anyone suggest or provide info on tc production nos.

I know it's doubtful, but I'm curious about how many spec tC's were made/sold?

My bro inlaw was stationed in Japan the year before the xb released and they had them there . I think in Japan Scion is a separate company but very closely tied to Toyota . Any way I got a envy green limited that I am only slightly modding . Intake and brakes ,exhaust,TRD lowering springsand leather and I'm going to upgrade suspension but outside I'm still rockn the limited 7 spoke hub caps . I knew they hit a nitch then went to the g2 but I'm glad cuz it only gets more and more one of a kind

Scion is USA only as far as a brand. The Scion brand has never been legitimately sold outside the US.

In Japan the Scion xA was originally the Toyota ist and the Scion xB was originally the Toyota BB.

(The Scion xB2 is the Toyota Rumion and the Scion xD is the new version of the Toyota ist. The Scion tC is not available elsewhere under any name - it is US only.)

In the near future the Scion brand will begin to be sold in Canada.

I love my little Camo. gen. one XB (05). It's stock and staying that way. Gotta' love the Scion.
(I also have a '65 Fury, '48 and '51 Ford P/U, and a '87 Sentra XE).

Funny how some of your numbers reflect sales in 2003. Scion Lore has taught me that the official release date for the US market was February 3rd 2004 ... 02-03-04

I'm not sure of the basis of Jennifer's numbers, but they could easily match manufacturing date or shipment date rather than model year (my 2005 was made in October 2004, for example).

Heck, it could even be based off the Scion HQ records of when the units hit the US ports or when they left the port for dealers, or even when they arrived at the dealers.

To have cars on the lot on the first day of availability, they were likely built, shipped, distributed, and charged to dealers starting in 2003.

So, even though the final owners couldn't legitimately buy them until February, 2004, they were in the pipe long before that.

The 10,000 unit difference? I don't know. Some were probably "program cars" and were not sold to their eventual users as "new." Some went into dealership rental or customer service cars, and were likewise never sold "new."

Bottom line, though, is that I just don't know, and I trust the numbers I have in the first post.

Apologies about the previous tC thread jack I made earlier here.

Anyway, yeah most car clubs are a reliable souce of registered cars; being that there's lots of scion clubs you'd think there'd be some more reliable figures available. I'm glad that people go to the trouble of tracking stuff like this.

From my travels, Scions aren't common everywhere as they are in SoCal. I feel lucky knowing that when I look into picking up a used xB I will have some quality choices.
