I bought a demo
why would you buy a demo for so little of a discount? Makes no sense to me. Plus, the first few hundred miles are a crucial part of the break in process. And we all know how test drivers beat the hell out of the cars. I can see you justifying it with a real discount, but 15 cents per mile is very weak. But as long as you are happy.
Camo is a hot color, my favorite. When I got mine they were hard to come by at all...when I started signing papers another salesman had a customer testdrive the one I was applying for
The other salesman tried to rush his customer in front of me into the final stages of sale too.
Good thing I was the first to test drive that day and they made sure I was first into finnancing.
No worries about the 300 miles already on the car. Most people don't test drive the xB with the mentality that it's a STi or an Evo 8. And if someone did beat it during a test run, the probability of it doing damage is little or none; in fact, many people have different views of break-in technique, one being taking the car up into high engine speeds in order to help the seals seat correctly. Do a Google on "engine break-in" and you'll see that there is a lot of technical rationale for hard break-ins. Stresses to other components like transmission and suspension during test drives are not likely significant nor should be worrisome as these components should be able to easily survive the limited power delivery of the 1.5 liter engine.
In the end, congrats on a new Scion in a color that you really like. And welcome to the friendly community.

Hey Oaktoddler congatulations on the purchase and the color of course. By the way did you purchase the scion at prestige on 17 north? I am a frequent paramus visiter with my camo so if you see me give me a honk.
Yeah those guys are good up there i bought both my xb's from them and i'm happy. The blue xb you saw could have been my friend, did it have the TRD wheels, billet grill and wing?
Congrats fellow camo owner!

Don't even give your purchasing a demo a second thought. You got a good deal. 300 miles is nothing. My "BRAND NEW" camo with 5 miles on it had a huge scratch in the side skirt when I picked it up. If my wife didn't see it, I wouldn't have noticed. I had to wait another two days.
