I do not like COPS right now!!!
On my way to work, mindin my business and I see a cop in front of me, so I pull up right behind him, thinkin that i have no problem. A couple seconds later I change lanes to my left & the cop pulls in behind me. So i'm thinkin whatever he must be goin left too, hopin he didn't see that my front plate was missing.
Any how he pulls me over and cites me for not signaling on my lane change, Blue lights in my headlights, no front plate & an incorrectaddress on my D. license! What a f@$#%^&* dick wad! Couldn't he find somethin better to do w/ his time?
Any how, does anyone know anything about fighting this b.s.
thanx :?: :?: :?:

get ahold of scioncop
. He's around here somewhere, and if you change your attitude, maybe he can help, or at least enlighten you.
I'm not trying to be a dick, but his "better thing to do" is his job, which is to in part, cite people for violations. Regardless, hope you can fight the citations and at least get some of them dropped.

i would have to agree that the cop was just being dick. come on now, tickets for blue headlights, not signaling a lane change, wrong address, and no front plate? that is just stupid. did the cop signal over when he moved behind you? you can fight it, as far as the plate goes, just put it on when you go to court. change out your headlights back to stock. i don't know what to say about your addy, i have an old addy on my id too. the signal thing, i don't know about either.
but seriously, those are stupid reasons for tickets.

I don't like cops either, except for brad. but I think it might have something to do with the " I pulled up right behind him sounds like tailgating to me, which isn't smart to do to a cop
You guys are absolutely right about makin the car "legal" If I was rollin bone stock then noone would mess w/ me, but what fun is that? Everyon and their mother has blue lights in the car, and I can understand the deal w/ the front plate, to be honest all the fix it cites don't bother me. I f he had cited me for those only I wouldn have fixed em and not cared.
But the lane change???? I was stopped behind him when I changed lanes, how does he know if I signaled to my left or not? It was totally out of his line of vision. I think he was being ticky tack...

they are not really stupid reasons for tickets...the turn signal is for everyones safety so that they can see where you are going, blue lights are for emergency vehicles such as ambulances, your address is on your license for a reason...how are they going to send you your court summons if you dont live there anymore?...the front plate could have been a warning but im sure that will get dropped if you put it on before you go to court...i think that it is treated the same as failure to provide documentation (insurance, registration, etc.)
if you wanna hear about some stupid tickets i got stories
pulled over and $45 ticket because my license plate frame covered up too much of "New Jersey" even though you could still read what it said
also got pulled over for red cobra eyes on my hood twice in a week 3 weeks after i had 300 multicolor christmas lights wrapped around my jeep and nobody said anything to me
your tickets are legit...stop whinin and just drive legal...not that hard...if your gonna break the law be ready to pay the consequenses

Ok, I don't even know where to start, but here it goes.
First any vehicle driven on a public road can be subjected to a stop for safety reasons and can be inspected at such time.
Once you move residences, you MUST advise DMV within 7 days of your address change. Fill out the card and polace it behind your license, easy fix.
The no front plate issue is no biggie, it can be signed off.
The blue bulbs are a no go also.
You might have to go to Traffic School for the Failure to Signal within 50 feet, as it is a Moving Violation. That is, if you haven't been to TS in the last 18 months. Do it online, it only takes a few hours instead of sitting around bored the whole day.
Oh yeah, in case you haven't noticed, I'm one of those Oakland "f@$#%^&* dick wads" that has nothing better to do than to jack people for no reason.
Wait one, I just helped you out!

Wow ... not a very forgiving crowd here!!!!! I'm not bashing cops, I even told the guy that I respect his position and what he does for the community and that he has a job to do, and that I had no problem w/ the fix it tix, but " isn't the signaling 100 feet before a lane change, when I 'm stopped & there is no traffic behind me a little ticky tac?" to which he replied "It's just Business. Anymore questions."

-Get your license corrected
-take the illegal stuff off your car
-get your front plate replaced
-start using your turn signal
If you do that stuff, I bet the next cop that gets around you in traffic won't mess with you at all.
I'm not trying to be a smartass, but the cop was only doing his job. Do you honestly feel that he should have just ignored you? Think about it; the first thing he probably noticed when you pulled up behind him was either your missing plate or the illegal blue lights. That alone would be enough for him to ticket you. But then, he see's you make a lane change without using a turn signal. So he pulls you over, and the icing on the cake is the incorrect info on the lincense. How is all of this his fault?
The police have a tough job to do guys, they deal with a lot of BS both on and off the job. Show a little respect.
Most cops I know, and I know a lot around where I live cause I shoot with them on a regular basis will generally turn a blind eye to minor issues like blue lights or other minor code infractions. But give them a reason to pull you over and well then they will nail you for them. You have no idea what kind of day the man just had and you climbing on his bumper might have been enough to look for a reason to pull you over.
Now of course there are rookies fresh out of the academy that are either on a power trip or have something to prove and will be jerks, but most cops are just doing their jobs and trying to make a difference in society.
My question would be how did you conduct yourself when he pulled you over. Did you cop attitude with him or did you show him the respect that an officer of the law deserves? You would be surprised that the man behind the badge is generally a pretty decent person, you show them respect you will generally get respect.
Funny how everyone hates a cop till they need one.

Don't do the crime if you can't do the time...
Just because the cop gave you a ticket for it doesn't mean your guilty of it. Go to court and tell your side. Better yet do it in writing first - Check out www.ticketassassin.com for more info on how to request a Trial by Written Declaration.
