Default I finally sold my truck!

Signed all the papers tonight and got my money! I also ordered my Phantom Grey xA manual today. I can't wait 'til it comes in. In the mean time, my local Scion dealer was nice enough to give me a 2004 Corolla LE to drive for free until my xA arrives. That was cool of him to do. It's a nice car too. Apparently there are no Phantom xAs in the area for him to grab from another dealer, so mine will be fresh off the boat.

Thanks! They actually have an RS 1 sitting there that I could have taken. I totally love it, but the whole idea behind this is to go as cheap as possible. The RS is $2,200 more that I just couldn't justify spending. I do love that red though.

LOL...yeah, it felt like it took forever. If I had been selling a $5000 truck, I'm sure it would've happened sooner, but mine was in the $17,000 range.

Thanks. I'm not 100% sure how long it will be. The dealership said they thought they should have it by "early next week". If that holds true, I will have waited exactly one week. I'm not in a screaming hurry now that they've given me a car to use at no charge. I figure that's even more motivation for them to get my xA in A.S.A.P.

2 months!? Wow! I certainly hope it doesn't take mine that long. I'm not getting the side airbags (probably should) so maybe it'll happen faster. The dealership didn't seem overly concerned that it would take too long. I doubt they would have given me a loaner car if they thought it would be more than a week or two.

Yeah, I know about forever. I ordered a SSM xA with side air bags on September 22. I am still driving my 85 Honda Accord with 375,000 miles on it. The dealer says the xA is status G, which means it is supposed to be on their lot. Any day now, just like the song. We'll see.

My dealership originally said 4 days, but in the end it turned out to be 2 weeks. Mine's fresh off the boat too with 3 miles on it. I was itching the whole time, but definitely worth the wait. I'll pick it up tomorrow minus the TRD short shifter, clutch and muffler that they don't have on hand yet.
