I got so high today in my xB...

I almost should take a vote to see how many people thought I got stoned...
seriously, we went up to Pike's Peak today, the sights were awesome, but this is the ultimate shot... at least for the board...

i'm afraid that everyone on here thinks i'm a stoner . i shouldda rethought my screen name. it's just a hot box. lol my box did great going up to tahoe last week with a/c on and 4 people in the car too. i was honestly surprised
Awww! You're making me remember when I was 8 years old and lived in Colorado Springs. I could see Pike's Peak from my kitchen window. It was the coolest thing. I only went up there once, but it was amazing. I remember that on the way down we had to stop because the brakes on my dad's Ford truck got hot. Did you have any problems coming back down?

I typed out a total follow up post and somehow I must have closed the window before submitting... anyway... here's what I was gonna say ----
the trip was smooth, I had plenty of power on the way up, you never get to go more than about 30mph... the grades are commonly above 10%... plenty of the time I was being held up by others, but there was plenty of stop (take pics) and go... outside temp was about 50 or 55, but the winds were about 30mph... obviously the dew point was lower than our outside temps, so that explains the "fog", but more technically those are clouds... at about 1000 ft lower it was clear...
on the descent, I was wishing for a slightly different gear set... second wasn't enough to slow me up and first was just too darn slow... at the brake check point I was at 170 degrees, at 300 they pull you over... I would guess that 170 was about as low as you can go...
we popped in a John Mayer CD, took our time and had a great day... I highly recommend the trip... even if just to take a pic... :D
p.s. - I am not a stoner... but I couldn't pass up the joke...
