The "I got an xB and am So Excited!" Thread!
#21
I bought my 2006 Pearl White xB from Rinke Toyota here in Detroit on Jan 24th. I got lucky and didnt have to wait for once since they recieved 2 xB's from the auto show that had just ended. Now I am always finding a reason to driving around because I love driving my box so much! I dont think I will ever get tired of it.

It has finally arrived. I know I did not have to wait as long as some folks do/did but I am impressed. The sweet spot is definitely 80 mph. It also needs more interior lights. I picked up my car from my girlfriend 130 miles from home in the parking lot of a gas station and it was dark so I havent had a chance to get familiar with everything due to it being dark and I had a 130 mile ride back to the hotel. So tommorrow afternoon I will get to truly meet my new pal. I think that it is a little stronger than my 2001 civic lx that I got rid of. I am certainly impressed with the pickup it has under acceleration given the motors size and power stats. I had the c.a.i. added ad the dealer, and it is the aem kit. ( advertised as TRD ) I think that may help a tad. however the parts guy at the dealer said that the 2004-2005 part number should not fit my car but it bolted right up with two additional washers ( havent looked closely beyond a quick glance) added somewhere. It appears to be a clean fit. The scion cargo cover seems kinda odd as it uses a couple of plastic hasps to lock on to the little clips on the sides. It has to be pulled tight and centered up which I will do tommorrow. and yes the armrest is a touch low but still quite functional and I am glad I have it. got the cruise control added but haven't used it yet I still have a touch under a quarter of a tank left with 263 miles total on the vehicle. I guess it was full when she left the dealer. I AM VERY PROUD TO OWN THIS VEHICLE !!! I can't wait to get done with this training class in 2.5 weeks so I can put my stereo in . the hotel has had two auto break ins last week so no sense in giving out an invite to the crack heads. time to study a bit and hit the bed. 5 a.m. isn't far off. Thanks to all who have helped so far and in the future. I will try be as helpful when I can

Had my TCM xB for about 3 weeks now. LOVE IT! So far, I've tinted the front windows, put on a new shift ****, added a 12" JL sub, and debadged the rear. The iPod jack is awesome, and it handles like a slot car. The only problem I've had is that my wife wants to drive it ALL THE TIME.

WOOHOO, Call it the luck of the Irish! I was surfing the 4 local dealerships and came across an RS3 in stock from another dealership than the one I ordered from. Called Dub Richardson Scion of OKC, OK and now it sits in my driveway. I love it! Proud owner of an Envy Green......YIPPPEEE, finally I own an xB.
