I keep getting shocked
So lately I have been getting shocked when i get in and out of my box....... and i am kinda puzzled on what that would be.
Does anyone else have this problem or know what to do about it or is it just me?
I have been meaning to come on here and ask but would always forget.
Hope someone has an answer......

It probably won't. I get shocked getting out of mine all the time, and I've had a GW kit for a year.
I either deal with it it, or try to grab the door frame before getting out. It's sliding out of the seat that builds up the charge. Maybe some anti-static spray on the upholstery would help more.

The Strange Thing is I've Never been shock.
I don't currently have or use a GW Kit. Other than to
show off, I can't say that I need one.
I get in and out of my Box and use the Hatch All Day Long
because it is used as a Service Vehicle and I drive 40k a year.
No shock, no zap, not even slight static.
Stock seats and Interior.

ok well if you wash ur car alot its probably that...i get shocked after i use sertain crap on my car and i work at a dealership as a porter so it happens all the time....At least thats what everyone i work tells me. But when my car get dirty it stops so im prettty sure thats what it could be....but like i said if you dont wash ur car as much than i dunno hahaha
+1 to MR LUV for posting that ground wire thread. It helped even out the throttle spike when idling at a stop, and slightly improved the brightness in my headlights. It might be psycho semantic, but I could swear the stock stereo system got better sound as well. After installing this grounding kit I didn't get another shock :D
When I get a new (used, but new to me) xB this is the first mod I'm doing :D

To Reduce Static Shock...
As a Engineer, I feel we can
Reduce the Problem by Just ADDING
More Ground Wires to your kit

wow so many ideas, i do like to wash my car..... living in this desert i wake up with a nice little layer every morning. i will look into that DIY ground kit, just have to find some time.
I went with Wet Okole's neoprene seat covers for looks, but they seem to do a fine job of keeping me from getting shocked as well.
Mr_Luv, engimineers unite! Before I got the covers I was seriously considering adding a banana jack to the dash and wearing my wrist ground strap home.
