Default I no longer love my xB

But its not her fault...

march 9th, 2009, she gets broken into

july 21st, 2009, State farm finally decides to investigate my claim

august 13th, 2009, State farm sends me a letter telling them that the last few times that they have contacted me have been to no avail (they have been asking me to resend them items that they have had in their possession for months) and tells me that my claim is being closed...

Im sick and tired of this BS run around that they have been giving me, 7, yes 7, different adjusters. 24 different inspections. 19 trips to their offices an hour north of Des Moines, for absolutley nothing.

So yeah... I cant decide... Lake, fire, crush with the 4Runner? (Im kidding of course, I just need to get rid of this car! )

This is not the first time I've read a bad story about State Farm (and Allstate, for that matter). Sucks that insurance companies are so retarded... especially when you pay them hundreds/thousands of dollars per year and then get nothing in return when you actually need it.

you guys think you have it bad? im sorry thats happened to you, but youre not alone, back in march i was hit hard by a mini van, car wasnt totaled but i was so ____ed at the other driver. at the accident scene the officer said it was HIS FAULT AND NOT MINE! so i spent about $700 in towing and retrieval fees cuz of this ___. and to top it off his insurance wont pay up, now what i found really weird was that he "had no insurance at the time" and two weeks ago his insurance called me up trying to get "my side of the story" and that their client said that i said at the scene it was my fault..WTF?!?! had they told me in my face i wouldve hit him. so my response was " you want my side of the story? ill tell you with my side of the story w/ my insurance and my attorney present, and while we're at it ill take my 700 plus legal fees while were there, his ___ is lucky i didnt purse when he had his day in court." sorry i dont mean to thread jack but i hate insurance companies, over charging for nothing... his insurance is american heartland BTW...WTF kinda ish is that?? i still havent seen a dime to this day.

Does your state have an agency that regulates the insurance companies? In Cali, we have a state insurance board that we can report issues like this to and it usually results in favor of the policy holder. I would check into that first.

Here the two contacts would be the State Insurance Commissioner and the Office of the Attorney General, Consumer Protection Division.

Around here the Insurance Commissioner usually gets things moving pretty quickly.

Good luck.

Sorry to hear that Don. You have one of the most imaginative boxes I have seen around these parts. I hope things get turned around on this for you.

So i've been in a few accidents that weren't my fault. What you need to do if the damage is below 7500 or less depending on the state, you take the guy that hit you to court. You notify his insurance that you will be taking their client to court and you will send them the judgment after that. Make sure you do this with certified mail. Once you win in court and win they send you a check. Also, in court you will need tons and tons of pics to prove your point. If you have witnesses bring those too. I've won twice this way and i didn't even have to deal with adjusters because they denied my claim at first but i still got my money.
