Alive and feeling the pain good to be back in SoCal... but the past several weeks leading up to SEMA in Las Vegas was an experience I have to share.
First let’s go back three weeks when the crunch time began and how an independent player like me was on a deadline that most shops have teams working on. First off if you are SEMA bound June is to late to order parts from Japan, also plan for product change out even up to the last days before roll in, and time is always against you. I had product coming in from all over and some last minute revisions that had me working non stop weeks before and the last 72 hours plus before roll in was a marathon install I will never forget. With an occasional checking for cracks in my eyelids and the concrete floor tempting me to sleep no matter how hard and cold it was while running cables. I pressed on and somehow no matter the lack of sleep, leaving at 4am Monday going through two car wreck delays on the 15 and managing not to kill myself (Thank you Rockstar, zipfizz, airborne) I arrived in Vegas with time to do another install, clean and prep the car for roll in then finding the only freaking puddle in the desert to have to clean the Scion again when I finally arrived in at 3pm at the Varad booth.
During the marathon Install I did manage to finish installing… Five ULX310 under car lighting kits, numerous SL200 kits, five new ORB 10’s from Varad. Custom fabricating a one-off enclosures for the canopy lighting, using one 50” bar and four white 1 watt emitters for the Exec. Spot lighting per side. The Dakota Digital Air suspension controller and Air Zenith compressor even though the air runner suspension never made it in time causing me to make changes that I did not plan or have time to work on but it’s all good. Xenarc got me a new computer system a day before I had plan to leave but lack of sleep, delays and wanting to properly install it I choose to wait until I get back and properly install it with plenty of time before CES. I got all the Garson stuff from autobac’s in time but did not get the retrofitted table laminated in the Japanese cherry wood for this event and the Damd Imperial wing I ordered to my knowledge is still in customs with the air runner suspension. Randode graphics came on board and stepped up to get all my sponsors represented professionally and with style.
I would like to thank Denny Huang AKA Mr Crossfire for his tremendous amount of help and time he gave towards getting me to SEMA he went above and beyond in working on the Garson Table and some crazy wiring of the fifteen SL200 and seven ULX310 Varad controller modules (pic’s to come) I can only say the man has attention to detail that is at or above my level, look forward to more projects with Denny. Thanks also for all the hook ups!!! Ya know I owe ya big time!!!
I would also like to thank our Vegas SE members Charleston and his family for opening up their house and garage to me to get my car prepped and ready for roll in… I always believed that our SE members are the most generous people to know and Charleston has proven that. See you again for CES and the dinner is on me brah!!!
Varad ROCKS!!!! Major thanks to the Varad Team and giving me the opportunity to display my project “Toy xBox” I can not say enough about the Varad product line and the people behind the product.
Overall I never expected this “Toy xBox” project to go this far, major thanks to all that helped me along the way! I have one more huge show in 2006 “CES” and Xenarc is the sponsor I will be representing at the show so please stop by and check out all the latest updates I will have done for that show. Here are a couple of the shots I took while at SEMA at the Varad booth. Please check out all my sponsors for products used on “Toy xBox” See ya all at CES
Other mentionable props go to:
SkyBull
Pink Taco
Rockstar
Zippfizz
Airborne
Vegas Monorail
Oh yeah the party’s? well that is another story but like they say what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!

If anyone has better pics please post or e-mail me a copy I didn't have much time to get photos and it looks like I was a little handicapped when I took my own
Thanks

Congrats on all your hard work. I can't wait to see more pics of that custom fabrication and that Strip-rivaling lightshow you have in & under the box.
Plain awesome!
