Vehicle Type: TRUCK
Body Type: SUV
Manufacturer: SCION
Model: XB
GVWR: <=8,500
Equiv Test Wt: 3375
Horsepower: N/A

mine was called a station wagon ..if it is listed as a truck its a good thing..because now you can use engines from a truck or suv in the box.in the state of califonia it is illegal to put a truck/suv engine into any car..

Yeah. She's used to being kidded about that, though.
(Actually she has the same horsepower as the Piper Tomahawk I used to fly, and almost triple the horsepower of my first Honda Car, a Z600...)

LOL!
Here is my experience when I took mine for inspection last year.
I see her walking around the box, not knowing what it is.
Lady - what the hell is this thing
Me - it's a Scion xB. It might be in the system as a "Toyota xB" or "Toyota Scion"
*she's looking at the computer*
Me - find it?
Lady - This sh** ain't even in the system
Me - lol
Lady - is it a van or a wagon?
Me - Well it's a wagon, but it's sometimes called a small SUV or van
Lady - well what is it? a van or a wagon?!
Me - a wagon
When I am all done with the procedure and they hand me the paper. Lady put it in as a "truck". After all that, she puts it in as a truck.

Maybe if you didn't have the Scion lift kit on it, Tom!
I actually took mine to emissions today too.
The tech was a bigger dude and I pull up and he goes
"No way I'm gonna fit in that thing"
I said "I think you'll be surprised"
He opens the door and goes "daaaamn, this thing's big!"
Then I had to help him find the OBD port (and had to disconnect my scangauge)
We talked about gas mileage and leg room until it (obviously) passed.
Pretty funny, but my sheet says Toyota Scion xB.

(It's a Toyota Echo Station Wagon - same running gear, same suspension, just a different shaped body. Just like the xA was the hatchback version of the Echo. Heck, Vanilla is even running some Echo parts as opposed to Scion parts.)

I also had to show the guy where my OBDII was. After I did, he picked up the back of the scangauge and asked me if I changed it. Then I had to physically point his head at the OBDII port. Dumb people amuse me.

My tester was much sharper than that, Chopra.
He had a tiny clip-on LED light so he could see what he was doing, quickly popped off the OBDII hatch, unplugged the Scanguage II and plugged in his rig.
He then got in the driver's seat, turned on the ignition, checked the idiot lights, started the engine, checked the lights again, waited for his setup to print out the results, shut off the engine, removed his OBDII plug, reinserted the Scanguage plug and put the hatch back on. Total time, maybe two minutes.
He then picked up the printout, handed it to me, thanked me, and wished me a good day.
Considering what he had to go through with the leaking, reeking, smoking, rusted out Chevy pickup in front of me (which no only failed, but they had to do a quick hazmat-type cleanup before they could let me pull forward onto the dyno because of all the fluids it left behind in the stall), he probably appreciated a clean, easy Scion xB job.

Well, you see, people in NJ are not that quick. Poor guy literally picked up the scangauge plug and tried to plug it into his tester. He didn't notice that both are the exact same thing and would not connect. Then asked me if I changed it. What in the world?l
