Bought mine in September 06 with only 37 miles on it. Now approaching 80k miles. Only have done brakes, tires, plugs (iridium), filter, Seafoam, and always 5-30 Mobile 1 synthetic oil (since Amsoil is not always easy to come by here).
About to change the belts, just need the time to put them on. Such a tight area, afraid to do it!

Bought mine Brand NEW in May of 2006. Since then, totalled 123,000 miles on it - from daily driving to work, 57 miles one way. Slight interruption, or slow down, in usage, as I just became a MINI Cooper owner as well. I plan on running both, flip/floping, for as long as I can (I cannot fit drywall inside the MINI
).
Oh, no major hiccups. Still runs fine. New plugs, and coolant. I changed the brake pads/shoes - although they were really ok (highway miles). Great dependable car........NO sticky accelerator!

Chalk up another - bought mine in May of '06. 125,000+ miles. Replaced MF sensor, and Dr.Side Door lock mechanism. Still get 30 mpg. Replaced coolant and plugs myself. Also the brake pads/shoes (although, they didn't really need it - highway miles).
My second car that I just bought, is a 2010 MINI Cooper S. What can I say,....I'm into small-ness lately
