Default Insects vs xB!!!!

After my first highway trip today in my new xB, I am convinced that if everyone drove an xB that many insects would become indangered species. Never seen so many bugs on the front of my car. And this was daylight driving. Anyone else experience this phenomon? Marc

Default Bugs must die

Yeah. I done my part in the war against bugs. My xB plowed through many and I have the battle scars on the windshield to show for it. Looks like I will need to get some bug remover car wash stuff.

Welcome to "Spring in an XB". I don't know what is more annoying - replacing the windshield because of all the pits, cracks, and chips or having to clean the new windshield of all the bug debris.

Oh Yea. I dunno if you have had the absolute pleasure of driving through any of the swamp states, like Louisiana or Georgia, but driving such a low profile car (with such a flat face too) gets pretty messy. I had to stop every 4 hours and scrub the front down or else it got ridiculous. And for that reason, I am in the process of ordering one of those full masks/bras from colgan - just for long trips like those! Having something with a protective screen for the grilles is especially nice!

Bah - I thought about it, but I don't like the way it looks. About the only thing I like about the bra is that it is *removable*

We had a ton of butterflies lately. Nothing like a pollen filled butterfly or 10 smashing on the window or sticking thru my grillcrafts...

Default so much for camouflage

I've had my xB a week and twice already the windshield and front end are bug-splattered. I thought at first it was due to a long highway trip, but city driving has produced the same results. I guess the camouflage paint didn't fool the bugs.

When I drove on 12 from the Frisco area to Stockton for the Elk Grove Scion dealership bbq, my car was rediculously covered with bugs, no bug deflector would have even made a difference.

I got western PA covered... I estimate I have single-handedly killed 5% of airborne insects around these parts. I have to wash my windshield a couple times a week right now.

The bugs seem to think my RS2 is a giant flower God and they are sacrificing
themselves on the alter that is my windshield. Every time I wash the car, I have to
brush all the bugs off before I can wax.

BTW Liquid Glass car polish makes it very easy to wash the bugs off and leaves
a fantastic luster. It's a very easy to use product. I can polish my XB in about
15-20 minutes. It's hard to find but is available online.

I washed my car yesterday and it took me forever to dry it because of all the damn bugs. I had a can of compressed air to blow the ***** off so I wouldn't smear them when wiping it dry.

I have had my RS2.0 for ONE day and already have bugs on the front. Good thing it's going back to the shop tomorrow for that perma-plate crap! Does anyone else have that? Is it good against bugs?

Here's one of the butterflies we had to contend with. Multiply that and factor in Camo and black grills...
