Installed OEM Fogs, no light >.<
I threw in my newly acquired OEM fogs today, followed the instructions to a T, and much to my dismay they arent working... Am I missing something? Do they come with bulbs or could I have screwed up something?
Fuse is good, Relay is in, OEM switch is on. I may just hand it over to my girls step father, hes a certified toyota tech, but if I dont have to bother him with it, Id rather not..

Is there any way to install the relay wrong? I couldnt get the relay block off of the fuse block so I just put it on from the back and it pushed all the way in. The fuse was already in place, it was a 15A labeled "fog" so I assumed that was the foglight fuse..
what i meant by wrong relay socket was i assume u installed it in the correct socket..it's the one that is one the verry bottom of the fuse box......if it is..then sound like u have no power going to the system..either a open wire, or a loose ground...
exactually...start checking for power going to the fog light switch, the relay and the fuse box and the fog light bulbs.....also double check to make sure that the connector for the fog light bulbs are tight....i had a problem awhile back with the right fog light not coming on at time and found out that i had a loose conection on one of the terminals in the connector
The instructions showed the relay socket as the second to last one on the fuse box, so thats where I stuck it.
Ill have to go out tomorrow and do some investigating, hopefully there wont be the 8+ inches of snow that the weather man is calling for...

the relay socket for the fog lights is the very last one on the fuse box, the ones loacted on the side of the fuse box... the instruction aren't very clear...hopefully u just need to switch the relay to the right socket..good luck!!
Not sure if you know this or not but the fogs only come on with the headlights, you cant just have them on by themselves. I thought that they could go on by themselves when i got mines.
Oh and I'm not tryin to be a smart ___ or anything, cuz this post can probably be interpreted that way.

lol.....your right some though i though the same thing at first..cause there are some vehicles out there that due come on with jsut the parking lights..but u can make them come on with the just the parking lights
Yah, I tested them with my headlights on and everything. If indeed the last block on the left side is for the fogs thats all Ill need to do, because other than that everything else is pretty straight forward.
Hmm, checked my relay, and its in the right block. I didnt realize that the block under it was a fuse block.
I dont have a multimeter at home, everything is at work, so that wont get done today. I dont even know if my multimeter will read low enough for a 12v system.

Well, I figured it out, I dont know why, but for some reason the "OEM" switch didnt match up to the plug behind the dash, the spade terminals were in the wrong place. Simple matter of moving around the pins in the stock connector and voala! Let there be light!
Now all I need is to throw some HID's in both my headlights and fogs..
