It's official: xB's are cooler than Elements
(Not that any of us doubted.)
I barely pulled into a parking space the other evening when a teenaged guy in white boy dreadlocks rushed up and asked if he could look inside my xB. He was as excited as a puppy.
"Sure, but it's kind of a mess at the moment." I opened all the doors and he poked his head in, grinning like he had just seen his first actual naked woman.
His parents walked over and his mom explained, "He really wants one of these." We chatted a little about mileage, how it drives, etc. I had her sit in the back to show how much room there is.
Pointing to my Moon disks, the kid said, "I really like your wheels." He got in the driver's seat and checked things out, still grinning like an idiot. He got out and approached his parents with that "Can I? Can I?" look.
They thanked me for my time and walked to their car -- an Element. Ha! Junior obviously thinks the Element isn't cool enough, that it's (yuck) something his parents would drive. Never mind that I'm at least as old as his parents. I, in choosing an xB, was obviously much cooler than his folks.

Its funny,
My sister and her husband have an Element named "Elly". They do a lot of sailing and go to the Outer Banks every other weekend where they have their boat. It really has been a great vehicle with little or no trouble what-so-ever after almost 50,000 miles.
When I go visit them, I usually park my XB right beside or behind their Element and it is very cool how good they look "parked together". They really do compliment each other a lot!
I think a perfect automotive house-hold would be 1 Element and 1 Xb in the driveway.
Best of both worlds.
But dont lambast me,,,it is strictly just an opinion....LOL.

I think that the xB is the best thing to happen to sales of Honda Elements. People on the edge of buying the Element but held off because they thought it was "way out there" can now buy one knowing that "at least it isn't as OUT THERE as the xB!"
Yeah, no doubt the Honda Element is a little disapointing. They just kind of missed. Not to mention the gas mileage kind of sucks. I mean they have the same engine as the Honda Accord, right? I know the wind resistance will chop your gas mileage down, but it seems a bit much.
Anyway, my manager want to get an Element. She's about to turn 40 and I think she wants something "Hip" and young. Of course, the Xb is TOO out there for her. Which I'm thankful for. She'd give Xb drivers a bad name.

Hey Old Punk, I have your avatar (LED skull) in my cigarette lighter hole. I bought it at Walgreens. I thought of your avatar when I saw it so I thought it would be a nice addition to my interior. I have to pull that thing out sometimes at night because of how bright it gets!
