im new to this forum but yeah i just bought my new scion xa o5 indigo ink pear on the date posted above. this question i have now is why am i only getting 27 mpg on an automatic with 91 octane gas? i know this car is not gonna break any speed record so i dont be smashn at S#!&... i commute a lot because im in construction and my scion is gonna be my baby for a long time so i drive conservative. please any feedbacks.

ive been looking through this forum on mpg but havent found any useful information plus this damn thing sucks in air like damn.

Try 87 for a while, 91 is a higher octane so it burns faster no need really to put it in a xb.

yeah higher octane does not equal better milage...try the 87, that is what is recommended for the car..i bet you yuo'llg et better milage with tthat...on an average week, i get 32mpg...(about 370 miles per tank)....not too bad eh?? Hust try the 87 octane and goes easy on your acceleration
