hello i just bought a brand new 06 scion xb 2 days ago and so far very happy with it. im a total new to the mod scene and hope to learn alot from this forum =). but one noobie question, i noticed that i have an aux port in my car...what exactly can i do with that?

 

Hey, congratulations on your excellent judgement and good taste!

The aux jack can accept the audio output from any portable device with a headphone jack, such as an MP3 player, DVD player, etc. You just need a standard male-to-male mini-phone plug cable, and you select it as a source with the Aux button on the head unit.

thank you for the reply. one more follow up question...if i wanted to connect my ipod to the aux port, what cables would i need to make that happen? im sorry for being so ignorant =(.

to connect ANY device, including an iPod, you'd need a male to male, terminated with eighth inch phono plugs

 

1/8" stereo mini plugs!
