I love this thing... I got it with 1 mile on it and it is awesome. I got the manual transmission and it is all basic... I want to do all of the mods myself. What should be my first?

I just love this thing... I will post pics when I get a chance to. The only thing that sucks is that it doesn't have cruise control... But I guess it is alright anyways!!

 

Sounds like you got the Salsa Red Pearl. Congratluations!! A lot of people get their cars dropped first and then rims--but you can just about start anywhere. Good Luck.!

 

By lowering the car is this going to hurt me in bad weather conditions or what? I am in UT and the snow is crappy along with the rain... I do mainly freeway driving also?

 

I got one like YOURS. Salsa Red. Back in February and I'm STILL amazed that it belongs to ME.

I'm a girl so I'm all about decorating the "interior" of the car. I got the under console lights and the illuminated cup holders, and I put "silver touches" here and there, etc. I got the sports pedals.

I think guys are more into the "outside' and under the hood. Like flexing your grass growing lawn scaping abilities when you are taking care of the lawn around your house etc.

I like the little interior "touches". Like hanging a little VS shopping bag from the "bag hook" behind the seat (that's my trash bag).

My first mod was adding the cruise control and the dealer did (and not all that well because it is located in an odd place). But the cruise control is a very nice mod.

 

Add a Cabin Air Filter in your empty Cabin Air Filter Tray that is behind your glovebox. Scion does NOT provide one. They will sell you one for $22, but get one at any auto parts store for about $12. Same flter as the RAV4. Or make one yourself after reading the Do It Yourself thread in the TECH section called 'Fabricate your own Cabin Air Filter', see photos of how to pop out your glovebox to access tray. This will filter out pollen and dust will not accumulate on your dash. Then search for 'FREE MODS" and go slowly or you may burn out too soon.
