Default Just joined...thinking about buying an xB

Just had my vehicle totaled and I've been seriously considering getting an xB. Seems like it would fit what I need pretty well. There is just such a HUGE difference in the prices of used xBs around here it's crazy. Anyway....going to do a little more research (this site is great for that by the way!) and hopefully I'll be around here more often!

At this point, you might want to look into a new one. You're really not saving too much (in some cases, used sell for more than new) and you're also inheriting the previous owners problems/wear and tear.

Either way, you'd be most likely be happy with one.

You would be best if you can find a new one, (1st choice,)
if not really look around there are a few "buys" available.
good luck and welcome to the family.

This '05 has just over 25k miles on it ....they are asking $10,499....may go take a look at it. How does that sound as far as price? typical? I'm not a fan of the vinyl..but it could come off.

Only problem with vinyl on a used car in Fl would be the paint fading everywhere except underneath the vinyl. Other than it being a stick seems like a great deal.

That looks like a fair price. It appears to have an upgraded exhause, but is not lowered. The prices MAY come down a little when the new xB comes out in another month or so, but perhaps you can not wait. Good Luck..........

I just ran across this one as well............I'm really liking the blue better (first choice would be black). It has a few more options than the other one I looked at though. What I'm trying to find info on though is the paint. The roof and rear wing are white...was this factory or more than likely painted by previous owner? Thanks for all the help and info!!

That looks like a factory wing, you can order them in any of the colors pre-painted. Maybe they got it second hand (used}...I like the wheels . This is the thing with the xB, it is all a matter of taste and how much of your paycheck you are willing to invest. Also how much modding you are willing to do yourself? If you like to tinker with your cars, go as Bare Boned as you can find, it will more often be the cheapest.

So you can order a blue xB with a white roof from the factory? That's interesting! Oh, and as far as mods go ... yes, I'll definitely be doing some and I do like to tinker with my cars...LOL. Here are a couple of pics of my most recent "projects"

This one was purely cosmetic...

This one was more for "Go" ....

He didn't say that, and you can't. The owner painted the dark blue roof white, probably because of the hot FL sun.

You can/could order an xB w/ a different color roof/wing.

I like that white roof idea! Would actually work well if you live in that hot state like florida.

Congrats and welcome to the BOP!
