Default Keyfob PANIC delete

Anybody know if there's a way to get rid of the PANIC mode on the xB keyfob? I've never been fond of fobs that beep the horn when you lock or unlock the door - too much noise out here already - so I'm glad the xB fob doesn't do that. But I've already bumped that panic button once or twice and I'd just as soo not have it enabled.

That was not the question.

I just took mine apart to have a look. I am not willing to try anything on mine, but I would think that removing some solder or leads around the button on the circuit board would do the trick.

If you never want to use it run some super glue around it and let it dry.

Clean back of fob, then apply small piece of clear packing tape (the kind used on UPS packages).

That should do it.

Actually, not bad suggestions and easy fixes at that. I'll probably put it off until I accidently set it off another time or two. (One time I bumped the button, the other time it hit a coin in my pocket or something.)

Thanks,

Tim
