Default Keyless Entry Problem

When using the remote keyless entry and click once, the drivers door will unlock. If I click it twice all doors should unlock. This is not happening all the time. The passanger and cargo hatch are not unlocking on the second click all the time. It's hit or miss, never knowing if it will work or not. Next oil change I will have the dealer take a look at it.
Has anybody else had this issue?

Whats your timing between the two hits? And the distance?

Your key fob has only a certain range and this can change as you are carrying based on the antenna location in the fob. Its location to the ground, its orientation to the car, and other metal objects surrounding the car.

There is also a timing issue, if you click too fast it could think your fob is stuck, and if its two late it won't accept the double unlock. (Figure roughly .5s<Good time<3s)

I have had this happen to me before but very often and its not a major in-convieniance. If it happens almost constantly and you are doing it with good timing/distance its a possible battery issue with the fob.

I know that the battery on the tC fob is very small and I would be inclined to suspect the battery at the sign of any issue. How long have you had your fob?

EXACTLY what farberio said.

The only time I've had problems with mine is when I hit the button twice either too close together or for too short a press. If I make eaxh press of the button deliberate with a delibarate pause between I've never had a problem. The 'pattern' that always seem to work for me is two solid button presses with about a half second between.

Thank you both. I will try this later today.
I might be hitting the button too fast.
Again, Thanks

Sometimes I do that too. But the RS 2.0 has the turnsignals on the side mirrors, and they flash twice for every push of the remote button. If I hit it too many times, it could cause people near-by to go into epileptic seizures.
