Let me introduce myself...
I have been posting here, but never really formally introduced myself.
I'm Tammie (33) and my fiance Darrell (34) traded in my '96 Mitsubishi Spyder GST for our '05 TCM Scion xB on July 3, '04. We were looking at something more on the family side (he has a 7yo and 4yo from previous marriage and we have a 17month old together)...an actual "family mobile" that would fit our style. We said HELL NO to the MiniVan, not our style, we said nope to the SUV cuz it's such a gas guzzler. We didn't like the Element because it looked funny...too many panels on it looked like it was a puzzle glued together.
Then we saw the Scion on the road a few times and said jokingly, "hey, I drive a box", but never thought we would end up driving one! So, it's like an inside joke between us and that is why we have the plates "IDRVABX". I guess for my generation that can be a versitile car, from young and fresh to sweet family ride.
We went for $$$ for one, gas mileage since I will use it to commute each day and the headroom/space. We got the spoiler, 6 disc changer and fog lights installed, but no other modifications just yet. We are moving in a couple of weeks as well as planning our wedding for next year (9/16/06), so after that is over, we are looking into modifying our box. I like the pics and ideas of the other owners and hope to be able to share some day.
Thanks for letting me share.

That's the best signature. Evar.
And welcome to ScionLife! Congrats on the engagement too... I thought my date was far (4/1/06), but after reading your date, guess not! lol... no offense (peeps just think it's a waste of time on our part to wait that long, while there's a lot behind how far out it is).
Anywho, ummm, ya... box <3.
