The xB does flex alot with the rag top installed. So much that most dealers no longer offer the option to it's customers.
It's a nice idea to have but would rarely get used in my box. We have 2 other real convertibles.

I plan on doing this in the spring but before i do i'm installing the weapom-R roof bars.
I need all the support i can get with the air suspension. LOL

That B and C pillar bar couln't hurt. Nice idea! I was thinking some sort of X support behind the rear seats might retain the original stiffness.

Yeah, i plan on running all four Weapon-R Stiffeners, Including the rear strut cage.
Ill let you all know what happens in a couple months!

Thanks, def. intersted on how much stiffness is retained after cutting the BIG hole.

We just did that to Box Rod. It only took two hours to mark the pattern and cut the
hole. Me measured it about ten times. It was a very strange thing to do. It looks
good though and so far no leaks. It is surprisingly quiet on the freeway.

Agreed, It just seems wrong to cut into a roof like that but is worth it with the end result. It's prolly quieter now because the the new roof material is thicker than the stock sheet metal.
