Default Looking into getting myself a Box!

Well, id like to say hi as a new member here, i also went over to my Scion dealership, they showed me a couple of their "certified" used xB's the first 2 were pretty thrashed...front bumpers both were pretty torn up and hidden with bad bondo jobs, then there was a 04' i looked at, 5spd, burgandy color, pretty darn clean, 30k on the odo, they want $17,900...base model, no options, used with 30k miles...sounds like a rip to me, so i back home and kelley blue book it, says used retail should be around 14,300....and unfortunatly this is the only scion dealer within 100 miles of me anyone have any suggestions?

Order one. It's worth the wait.

What area are you in? That's just nuts.

i say order it. why pay 3000 over invoice just to get it now?

if you dont mind waiting about a month which maybe even less then order it. i went to a dealer today to look at th em because i am buying in october and they had no new xbs. just used and each was over 16500 with no options. I told the dealer that if they expect anyone to pay that then they are out of there minds. i said somebody might but im not stupid .

dont get roped into that price its not worth it.

Take a breath, sit down and hold on to your money.

Figure you are probably going to finance it and probably do so for 5+ years. A few days or a couple of weeks is going to translate into a better, newer car that you can be more selective about.

Also, figure that if the additional $3000 is factored into the overall financing you are actually going to end up paying somewhere in the area of $5000 additional over a new one that you took time for.

The dealer is dependant on you having to want it now and not giving more thought to the purchase.

Regardless of how badly you want it always be willing to walk away from it, that wil give you the power over the transaction and not some dealer.

^^^ i agree with what he says, u should just wait and not get the used one thats such a rip off. i got mine brand new out the door for 16k and u paying for a 30k mile car for $17,900 is so not worth it!

Go to www.scion.com and price one out with everything the way you want it. Print that out and take it to a dealership and order from there.
Keep in mind any accessory you order with your car can be had at a later date for cheaper from someone else. The only plus with getting them when you order it is you can finance them in.
