Default Looking for some advice

So I got my Toaster passed on from my dad, and love the thing to death. Trying to spice it up a little though.

Does anyone know if you can take off all of the make/model metals (I don't know what to call them) off the back/front grill without damaging the car? Or am I going to need to cover/paint the car if I take them off?

look up "debadging"

you can easily, with either a heat gun, or a wire. then you need to scrub off the adhesive.

So there are no pins or holes behind any of the emblems? Just adhesive?

Pretty sticky adhesive if you ask me.. Have to be extra careful with the heat gun, Cause you can start removing the paint.. And the wire requires a lot of finesse. I actually messed this up a bit :/ .. I painted my emblems with red/black Rustoleum, and put them back on.

use a hair dryer for a few minutes, then some dental floss. you won't scratch anything that way. and get some Goof-Off from Home Depot or equivalent and it'll take the leftover adhesive residue right off.

There arent many car companies out there today that use posts any more. Its quicker and easier to use double sided tape.

Once you remove them, you can stick them anywhere.

* on a side note, if you do remove them and there is a cloudy or milkiness to the paint where they were, dont freak. Its actually condensation that has been trapped between the tape and the clear coat. A couple of days in the sun and it should dry out. *

The front grill will have a hole when you take the badge off.

For the front you can buy a better looking badge, refab that portion of the grill, or buy a replacement grill. If you like the stockish look and just want to fill it in, check around and you can find some DIYs of how to do that with fiberglass.

Yea I really just like the plan looking grill, no emblem or anything. Where can you buy just a plain grill?

Check on any classifieds, or you will have to make one yourself. Scion really didnt make a plain grill with no emblem on the front, unless you get a RS edition grill.
