Be advised there are issues with this color. Some of the supposed matchs in major brands do not match the actual color on the RS4. There have been a few threads dealing with people with crash damage having major major problems getting an acceptible match to the factory color during repair. 3R2 is a Toyota color but it is not exactly the RS4 color. Regular 3R2 does not flip like the RS4's 3R2 Torched Penny.

I assume you are repainting a different car that is not Torched Penny at this time. Have the shop spray out their formula of the paint on a scrap so you can look at it in the sun and from angles. As long as it has the effect you want then as long as the whole car is sprayed with it, you should be able to later repair it. Be sure to get and keep a copy of the mixing formula so it can be reproduced later if needed. Indeed if they mix what is supposed to be Torched Penny now and it really is not a great match for the factory cars they could change the formula to match them better. The current formula might not be readily accessible later if such a change occurs.

I have the RS4 and the gentleman is indeed right on the color code, yet some advise..even though I have had my RS4 for only 4 months, I get looky loos and people who follow me home to ask what color it is...be prepaired to get lots of attention...however beware that you may get JACKED. This color is cool and there is always someone out there who would be willing to kick or even kill your ___.
My advise is to park your newly painted jewel in your garage....if not cover it and pray no one feels the need to steal it....good luck to you my friend.

Not to mention the haters that will key it without a second thought just because they are jealous. Good luck with whatever you decide tho!
