Total junk. All it does is make your car think it's running cold all the time, so it dumps in extra fuel. You're not changing the amount of air that's coming in, so the car will just run rich when it has actually warmed up.

Best case? You notice no change.

Worst case? Check engine lights, poor running, carbon/deposit buildup, failed cats, etc.

Think of it this way - if you really *could* make a part for $5.99 that did everything that eBay add claims, don't you think the manufacturer would do it themselves?

Why hasn't anyone come out with power-oriented chip tuning for the xB yet? Well, for one thing, it's kind of a losing game to chip tune an N/A 1.5 litre motor. If you want a fast car, or one that's easy to tune, you'd be better off with a whole range of other vehicles. Personalize your Scion and be happy for what it is - a unique cruiser.

the hypertech recalibration software lets you program in mods such as headers larger tires change in gear ratio etc all i'm saying is alot of us scion owners have doone similar mods such as headers cat back exaust larger tires etc it would be nice to be able to program these mods into the ecu to take advantage of what little hp gains we could get......the ecu program could possibly take into effect the larger tires we upgraded and correct the speedo problem........
