I know i'm bitter that my parents don't but I know they could never afford to get me anything even in their wildest dreams it's sad and I dont expect it I do kinda dislike people who get things bought for them oh well. MUST BE NICE.

LOL - sorry - I was just trying to make a point - although in an extreme way - to him that basically, it's none of his business.

That question DOES make many agitated - for a whole host of reasons. Some, becuase, 'no' - their parents DIDN'T buy them everything - and others becuase they actually DID and they're uncomfortable with that fact. I didn't get anything GIVEN to ME when I was a kid, my parents came into the spotlight and money AFTER I was grown up - I too got NOTHING. ZERO. We had nothing and I knew I had to earn it if I wanted it. I had my Top Ramen and Kool-Aid days - A LOT of them. But I still don't hold it against people my age (30+) who had pampered childhoods - I knew many of them - and many didn't like it - felt embarassed.

No one likes to be reminded that they can't provide for themselves and everything they have is just being handed to them.

 

That stuff is good though ain't nothin wrong with Top Ramen and Kool-Aid

 

I still have to go through the stages of people thinking I am rich. I sure as heck am not. You wouldn't see future owner in my signature. And you sure as heck wouldn't see Scion there either. Just because I have nice things people obviously think I am a rich stuck-up ****. Well guess what I ain't. Just had to get it out.

 

Im a broke ___ college student. Im majoring in Chemistry, I live with my parents. I use their tax report to get money from the state to fund my education, books, food, some gas.I also get money via scholarships. I put 4000 down on the car. Mommy and daddy pick up the monthly bills. I pay for insurance and maint. of the vehicle and any mods. I don't have a job yet, but im looking for one. I pay for all my stuff using junk that I sell on ebay. Till now I have sold over 3k worth of stuff. That money went into my checking account and taht is how I pay for everything that I pay for. My checking account is shrinking exponentially. It sucks. Thats how my life is.

why didnt i go to med school, be a doctor and be depressed like they wanted! at least i woulda had bank!
