Yup thats right Don, you and your box are a bad influence on xB's all over. hmm where do I start with all the fail?
I will list them in numerical order.
1. Back in Jan/Feb I cleaned my new XXR 501's with Meguiars All Wheel Cleaner and took the clear coat off my lip of all 4 rims (just the lip)
2. Around March(ish) I started throwing a CEL and my idle was thru the roof, replaced a vacuum line and all was well
3. May comes and I'm throwing another CEL P00505 IACV, my box likes to idle at 2000+ at times or idle surge from 800-2500
4. On a rainy day in June I was coming from New Orleans, hit a puddle and I guess since I am so low it ripped my rear lip off from the center and I was dragging it on the ground for a good 40+ miles before somebody started honking and I noticed it.
5. Last night I hit the biggest dead animal I've ever seen that can fit under a box, the roads were wet, there were people behind me, to the sides and in front of me, there was nothing I could do but flench and hope all was well. I tore my rear lip off again, broke 2 tabs on my front lip and I swear I got a little air time.
Aparantly I drive an invisible box too because everybody and their mama wants to pull out in front of me...
I think the bad luck is even made its way to the Supra because I blew the crank seal out of it 4 days after I got it, but aparantly thats a common problem with the 2JZ. I had to tow the Supra home with the box and the whole time I was doing it I knew something was gonna happen, the Supras brakes were gonna fail or something and smash the box and I'd be out of both of my cars

There are many ways to become one with the box of fail. First, do something fantastic that noone else would ever attempt... and then fail horribly at the execution. Second, procure a piece of the failbox history and incorporate it into your own frankenstein only to find later, that piece is the cause of the entire problem. And finally D, create a list towards epicness and fail to keep things in order of procession.
The OTGs weren't made for Chicago winters. They corroded and stuck to the drum. Had to have a wheel bearing replaced, so I tried taking it off.
The tech at Toyota had to use an air hammer to remove it, before changing the bearing.
Long story short, when it was removed, enough material got shaved off to screw up my rear toe, so the tires started cupping.
I recently replaced those with anodized 20mms, but my friend and I spent 90 minutes a side with an air hammer, chisel and sledgehammer removing the OTGs... we even broke the chisel in the process.
What a pain in the A.
