Default My own crash test, or how there is one 2.0 less in the world

Well, with a heavy heart I had to say goodbye to my Yellow Scion 2.0.

While crossing an intersection close to our house I got hit by a 16 year old that did not stop on red. He didn't just tap me. He had enough speed to crush the passenger side of the car, pick the car up flip it once and spin the car 360".
For all of that I am pretty well off. Nothing broken (maybe a rib), bunch of bruises and a little back pain with some weird parts hurting or numb.

Pictures are found here:
http://www.laqua.com/pics/main.php?g...3486&g2_page=1

Now I am dealing with insurances and lawyers, not so much fun! Can anyone point me to a site or a list of what parts other then the yellow where special in the 2.0? I know the signal in the rear view mirrors and the spoiler in the back. What else?

DC exhaust and special mesh upper grill and the yellow accented interior fabric. Off the top of my head. Glad you are OK.
Seems like now that these are not being made anymore that they are dropping like flies.

Holy crap! So you rolled it? Actually doesn't look to bad considering it rolled. Of course, it's totalled. Are you getting another Scion?

I'm rather curious about how the hub cap got onto the windshield...inside the wiper bracket.

(1) Glad you came through in decent shape!
(2) Sad to see an RS2 go down.

Sounds like the box absorbed a lot of punishment.

I'm more concerned on how it was towed improperly. They ruined the front bumper lip with what looks like the old bumper strap lift from the golden days of heavy steel bumpers.
The graphic on the side doors looks just like a bullseye and he hit it!!!

Not sure if you can call it a roll since (from what people tell me) it flipped kinda John Woo style. That's why no or little sign of damage on the roof. I ended up comming to rest on the driver side.

As far as tow goes... Don't think they did it wrong. From what I know that happend at the end of my 360" I hit the curb and dammaged the front of the car.

#2 ive seen a few pics of side impacs and alot of front. every time i looks like the little box took the hit very well.
althow i did see the crash test video and i don't think i would want to get hit on the drivers side, it might hert just a little.

NOOOOOO

Another Atlanta box lost. Do you know what salvage yard it's going to? Will you by
another box to replace it?

The list of RS features for the 2.0 is:

Mirror covers
Door sill plates
Rear spoiler
Upper grill
Color matched upholstery
Dc Sports exhaust

Optional RS 2.0 parts include the color matched strut bar and color matched AEM
cold air intake

and of course its a numbered and badged limited edition. Only 2500 built.

Good to see you are ok! As far as RS 2.0 parts/accessories...I can think of a few. 1. mirrors 2 seats 3. exhaust 4. door sill enhancements 5 grill...I know there are more, I just can't think of them all. I'm sure someone will correct me on here.
Glad you are well enough to type!

Shark! Way to sneak that in!
I was gonna ask a similar question.

Glad to hear you're relatively OK, Karsten. Make sure you have good (not adequate) representation.
